Naomi and Clancy Booher
Owners & Full-Time Caregivers
Naomi has spent over a decade working closely with dogs in training, sports, grooming, and hands-on daily care. Dogs have always been a huge part of her life, and that experience shows in the way she connects with them. She notices the little things right away, like who needs extra reassurance, who relaxes best outside, and who just wants someone nearby. She takes her time with each dog so they feel understood instead of rushed. The dogs trust her quickly, and families do too, because she puts her whole heart into creating a space where every pup feels safe, loved, and truly at home.
Clancy is the quiet favorite of almost every dog who comes through Maple’s Place. He helps with feedings, walks, and playtime every day, and his steady calmness makes even nervous pups settle in fast. He’s also the one who built the lodge, fencing, and play yards by hand, creating the space the dogs enjoy so much. His presence brings a sense of comfort and security, and the dogs sense that right away. Together, he and Naomi make Maple’s Place feel like a home, not a kennel.
